How do i connect a HP printer to my ps3?

I tried connecting it but i failed several times. I went to the online user guideline and it said HP printers cant be connected through a usb cord which is what i tried to do. Can tell me if its possible to connect a HP printer to a PS3 Slim and if it is how?
Oh and another thing its a HP Officejet J4550 All-in-One Printer.

only certain models of hp , canon and epson printer are ps3 compatible – they need to be built with internal ps3 compatible drivers
look at each companies websites for compatibility
the hp website lists these as ps3 compatible

all-in-one c 6280 , c 6380 , c7280 , c8180
yours isn’t compatible
you’ll have to buy a different printer to use it with a ps3
